What times are the coming out?
I have a herd of does that are out about 7pm every night, then again at about 3am.
The couple of bucks that come visit have been really scattered as for time. A 4am here, a 7:30am there.. but nothing "scheduled". I have only caught the bucks on camera about 4 times all season. Last year it was almost nightly.
All in all, they are doing what they do - staying mostly nocturnal during hunting season.

I have had a couple of does that showed up during legal hours but they were in an unsafe to shoot at direction so I had to pass, other than that it has been all on camera for me this year.
Same. I have shot the deer I have seen in person this year. I guess that's good though..... I can say I'm 100% haha

Took him last week of the season. I let him walk a couple times but needed the meat. I wish doe season stayed in until the end of gun season in my county.

Eh, he probably needed to go for the health of the heard. Some wonky genetics on that one.

How is everybody's 2022 season going so far? Been able to go yet, had any luck?
Haven't been able to go yet myself but plan to this weekend; still have probably 25-30 lbs of meat left over from last season so I get to be picky this time (unless I see a hog then it's bye-bye Porky)

My club is over in MS. I've had half a dozen sits in the stand (most during archery). Had does come within about 70 yds twice during archery but both times they just ambled off in the opposite direction. 3 small yearlings within easy distance but I'm not going to shoot an 80 lb yearling. I'm going back this time next week so maybe I'll have better luck then.

Getting colder this weekend and next. Should have some deer moving.
People say that all the time about the temp but I saw ( I think on YouTube) the results of a very detailed study where they GPS tagged deer and recorded movement and weather. It found that deer didn't move any more in colder weather than they did in warm weather. The weather factor that determined movement was actually the barometer. Deer didn't move as much when the barometer was moving (either up or down).

I've noticed from my own anecdotal experience that deer move more right before or right after a storm, especially if the stars (literally) align and you get a good moon phase to go with it.

So I had a really lucky weekend because I got another one this evening. Small doe shot from about 65 yards hit in the same spot as the 8 point but she ran about 150 yards. Had to drag her out of a swamp which wasn't very fun but I've got a freezer full of venison now.
Looks like when it rains it pours lol
