Can I get some feedback
Why do so many people looking for handguns specify "No 40cal"?
I personally have a .40 for my EDC and feel comfortable with it.
I choose 9mm because its powerful enough to stop what needs to be stopped, ammo is cheap and easy to find.
Compare my 9mm to my Brother in laws 40, the recoil of my 9 is alot better to me then the 40, not bad but enough for me not want to use it all the time.
Thank you for your input RandalC. I chose .40 for the little extra. The recoil and cost doesn't bother me. I practice some but don't go burning up a ton of ammo so I figured .40was a better choice. I figured the recoil and cost was the factor. I just see "not interested in .40" in every other feed I see. Made me wonder.
People like what they like. And it also goes to say that they do not like what they do not like. Opinions run high and mighty on the eternal caliber debate and .40 has been a very popular caliber in the last couple of decades or so. "The 2nd hand" Market is flooded with .40 caliber handguns. So when Joe goes advertising ISO a handgun he will invariably get a huge response from those seeking to unload a .40 caliber handgun. If that's not what Joe wants. He says so in his post.
I was a .357 SIG addict for quite a while myself, until ammo at first dried-up (after Sandy Hook) then went considerably up in price. Had a barrel for my SIG P229 in .40, so switched...and really liked it.
My personal preference in semi-auto pistols today is .45ACP, but I still like .40...and 9mm...and...and...
