This P2000 has 41,000000 rounds of 180 grain brass, steel, and aluminum cases 2,000 165 grain EFMJ, 1500 rounds135 grain Border Patrol Rounds and 2,000 170grain Fiochii 40sw. i have couple various 1,000 rounds of HST, Rangers, and and Gold dots so I am close to 50,000 rounds or over through this HK P2000. This was my everything gun. I had A USPc in 40 lem that 135 grain federal border patrol round ruined on the rails cracked due to the high pressure and 1400fps in 40sw. It was difficult to control because the USPc had a slippery grip compared to my P2000. HK was sent my USPc and they said I could get a replacement or a P2000 due to a manufacturing defect in the gun and there were micro cracks in the slide attributed to the 135 grain 40sw. I got a p2000sk lem in 40 where I carried or used as a backup. Only other gun that has died like that on me is a custom 1911, Beretta 96 centurion, and a Cz-85.
Only thing I have changed is a recoil spring in my p2000.
Now the thing is I have had custom 1911s where I spent $3-4000 on the gun , P226/P228/P229s (Sig custom shop), Sig P320, Smith 3d gen, Beretta PX4 series, FN high powers, FN (FNX and FNP series) CZ75/85s, and these did not make it through the first 2000 rounds without issues. Some only minor then started having issues at over 5000 rounds.
The only guns I had go over 25,000 no malfunctions or issues has been Walther P99, M9’s, HK P-series, and Glocks (gen 3 and gen4). I have a gen5 19x and G45 but have not shot a lot since I got back. Mostly doing long rang 600-1000 yard stuff.
This gun still looks good even with all those rounds, the interesting part is the difference between commercial grade, Law Enforcement Grade, and Military grade in guns.
So this is what an HK looks like with 45-50k rounds of 40 looks like.
