Good outdoor ranges in Madison county? Looking online finds a lot of fancy sounding pay for privilege country club like places. Are these for me? The range I used to frequent was run by the florida game wardens and open to the public.

Now Close to you in Jackson County you have a WMA which has a Shooting range. One is called Skyline WMA.

Swan Creek between Athens and Decatur has a nice range. You have to buy a heritage license or hunting license to use it (verify which license on the state site).

Thanks for the info. Found a place south of Huntsville, Hobbs Island range, but dang $300 for membership. Then there is gold membership for $500 that can kick you out of your lane.
