I don't have any experience fishing for them in winter but in spring my favorite bait is a fluke and my dad's favorite is a slider worm

Shaky head with a straight tail worm. I use a medium light spinning rod and work it slowly. I have good luck with natural colors and chartreuse. That’s my go-to finesse bait but I use it a ton when it’s cold.

You pretty much fish any bait just slow roll it and let it set and slow roll it again.

I have caught winter Bass on swim baits, blades, skirted jigs, stick baits and crank baits. The colder the water temp down size the bait.

Redish brown colors or match the water color if the water is stained brown use brown colored baits.
But I have also caught winter bass using brighter colors.
Just depends on what they want.
