got a nice bird this morning

I worked for this bird, been chasing him for weeks and I finally caught up to him this morning.

thanks, I was sure proud to get this bird. He has tortured me for weeks now, gobbling on roost and not making a sound when he hits the ground and never leaving his hens. I got his butt this morning though!

Very nice! I got lucky a couple of weeks ago and got my first ever gobbler just after 7AM chasing a hen. 11 inch beard and one 1.5 inch spur (other one was missing, probably broke it off fighting). Wasn't able to weigh him but I'd estimate he was about 25 pounds based on how it felt picking him up. I've got his breast and legs in the freezer and his fan, beard, and feet drying in borax in the garage to mount on my wall.
