does this shoot 3 1/2 and what brand chokes does it take ?

Doesn't have chokes. It is a fixed barrel. I will have to check on the 3 1/2" i think its 2 3/4 only maybe 3. But pretty sure it is not 3 1/2.

Not sure but I think the Supermatic was built by J C Higgins - been quite a while since I've seen one of those

JC Higgins was not a gun company it was a name that Sears put on their guns. JC Higgins Marked guns were made by the major gun companies including Winchester, Stevens, Savage, Hi standard , Marlin And others. If I remember right JC Higgins was a real person Possibly a sports figure of some kind back in the day that sold his name to Sears for this purpose.
