Seems like it is destined to pass, but that's not my question...

If / When it passes will I still be able to purchase a concealed carry Permit?
I intend to do so if they will still be sold in Alabama...
I do not want to be the test case when arrested out of state carrying a weapon
without a permit... I can see that as a real pain for whomever is the first person
charged and trying to say that no permit is required in my home state of Alabama.

Well BOY, you ain't in your state... You in MINE...

Just keep in mind that constitutional carry doesn't go into effect until the beginning of 2023. Apparently a lot of folks are getting popped for not knowing that.

Sometimes its nice to be #1 but I think avoiding that dubious honour in this case is wise.

I may be wrong but I think Constitutional or Permit-less carry is only for those folks who are:
1. Legal to own/possess firearms.
2. A legal resident of the State in Question. i.e. ARK, where you reside, has Constitutional Carry as does TX, where you're visiting but but you can't prove residency in TX - Oooppps!

The above means if you plan to travel, get a CCW and be very aware what states have reciprocity w/ yours
