Single Action Shooting Society?

Does anyone do Single Action Shooting Society (SASS)? I love the idea but haven't managed to get into it.

There are, I believe, a couple of SASS outfits that shoot regularly at Brock’s Gap Training Facility in Hoover (BHM area).

Ever since Cowboy Action Shooting started appearing in the gun rags 25-30 years ago, I’ve always thought it looked like a heck of a lot of fun. I’ve gotten to talk to a few participants at Brock’s Gap while there shooting other matches; they were super-nice folks.

I’ve found myself more than once almost joining SASS just to grab an “alias” there in case I decide to pursue the sport at a later time haha…

My dad did it for a couple of years, I’m not sure where his group shot at, probably Brock’s Gap. He really seemed to enjoy it and had nothing but good things to say about most of the people.

I think there's still a SASS group that shoots monthly at East Alabama Gun Club.
