Sounds like sage advice....if it's for fun, I like to tinker. If it has to be as reliable as possible, I mostly get prebuilt.....I've been shortcutting prebuilt BCMs lately when there are sales on scratch & dent upper and lowers. I do want to build a ultralight for fun.If you like to tinker, building a 6.5CM AR10 from parts can be a challenge
If you don't like to tinker, buy a pre-built one
6.5CM AR10s are not as easy to make run properly as the 308
I have been making food for my rifle today, and the past few weeks as well. Probably won't stop anytime soon, as my wife has learned how to feed it, and she seems to enjoy it.
