IMG_9642.jpeg Has anyone here ever run one of these uppers suppressed? I recently got one on sale (11.5”) and just put a SureFire RC2 on it. It came with a SureFire 4 prong flash installed. I also changed out the buffer spring to the geissele super 42 H3. I’ve mostly run 300 blk and 45acp suppressed which is generally pretty easy. This is my first attempt with 5.56 suppressed.

Not this exact upper, but I have a clone of it that's almost identical (the old PSA 10.5 premium upper that used Geissele parts) and it runs great suppressed with an H3 buffer in the A5 buffer system (mines marked BCM but it's a VLTOR product)

Also since it's your first time suppressing 5.56 (and you're using the same can as me) don't expect it to be too much quieter - it makes the report go from standard 5.56 down to about the level of an unsuppressed .22 mag from my experience.

That’s what I was expecting as the 5.56 rounds are supersonic. I can easily shoot 300blk 220g or 45acp without ear protection that’s suppressed. 300blk in 110g are still pretty loud as they are supersonic also.

Had a great experience with the geissele upper and RC2 suppressor. Put several hundred rounds through with no failures. Was able to easily hit a man sized steel target at 200 yards and didn’t do bad at 250 and 300. Very impressed by that accuracy out of an 11.5” barrel. Was using this PSA lower with pistol brace….

As you noted 5.56 sound suppressed was very similar to 22 magnum. Very happy with that performance.

The 2 I had out last week. Giessele 11.5 URGI and a DD DD47 11.5. Both performed very well.
