Any good public land hunting in southern counties?

Traveling over 4 hours one way to camp can really limit my opportunities to hunt every season. Is there any good public land hunting to be be had in Washington, Baldwin, Mobile or Escambia counties? Or basically anywhere with an hour drive of Mobile?

If you haven't already, check out this map from the AL DCNR. Looks like there's a good amount just north of Mobile.

I have been wanting to try Perdido River but have not had a chance. If you have a boat, there is lots a acreage in the delta.
