Favorite 9mm carry ammo?

What 9mm ammo do you guys use for serious use case/concealed carry?

Any good quality 124g JHP but my preference would be Gold Dot or Hornady Critical Defence

Gold Dots are excellent and I would still use them except that I get the Hornady Critical Defense for free so I'm currently using them in our carry 9mm's.

I wish I could find some Nyclad! Is it really all it is hyped up to be? I found some for a decent price on GB. But didnt know if it was as good as google says.

I've carried it for years, but have alot from old shop, as well as black talon. I like to find a round that groups well and feeds reliably, and carry it. Never been one to hop on latest greatest thing.

Buy several hundred of whatever defense round you think you like, several good suggestions above (I like Speer myself, also Federal HST) and run a couple hundred of them in your gun and using all your magazines. Shoot them FAST

If they run good, use them

Splitting hairs in a brand of defense ammo being better or worse is much less important than what runs well in your gun and what you can train with.

I know what I am saying to do is expensive and many consider a waste of a money/ammo, but I see value in knowing my gun will run my defense ammo well.

Hitting your target with the 4th best defense ammo is better than having a jam with the best defense ammo...
