Well, the problem you will run into with gauges is re-installing the ejector after checking the head spacing. Having the bolt stripped is needed to do the check. Not to say ejector reinstallation can't be done without a jig, but having one makes the job a LOT easier.
Depends on the location. Most charge about a quarter hour of their normal service rate or whatever their minimum is. I'd ask local friends if they have the set of gauges you're looking for first. I bought mine because I'm just wired that way.
Ya I ended up finding out that it prob does not need to be checked but I’m still going to have someone look at it if time permits. I may just go shoot a round and see what happens lol.
