Be sure to check your pawn shops, you never know what kind of gem you’ll find at usually a pretty good price. Also, cash helps more than card when it comes to negotiating. This past weekend I scored a S&W 5.7, with box and 4 mags for $500 out the door. It didn’t have the owners manual or any optic plates, but that should be an easy fix if I need them.

I almost forgot the pawn shop also had an S&W M&P 2.0 in 10mm. They were asking $589 I think, but they’d probably take $500. The place was Jim’s pawn shop in Moody.

Several pawn shops in my area, but no really good deals the times I've been. They have really old stuff I don't want, really cheaply made stuff, or really overpriced stuff. I saw some S&W revolvers I would buy, but they were in rough shape and way to expensive.

I used to love searching for older S&W revolvers. 75% of what you'd find would be a little too rough, but it made it better when you found that underpriced gem.
If you find anything worth anything the pawn shop wants to sell it at almost a new price.
